I looked up at the sky and thought I saw a
rainbow near the sun, but Mimi explained to us that it wasn’t a rainbow, but a
sundog. It is similar, in that it is
also made by diffracting white light, but rather than doing it through water,
as a rainbow does, it is doing through high-altitude ice crystals. I have never
seen a sundog in Hong Kong, which is why I like the Chinese motto, ‘Rather than
read a lot of books, go travel the world.’
We also saw two sea otters, cleaning each other on a dock.
Many people were watching them, so we got to talk to two kids from America!
This is my first time talking to American kids! This is so exciting! Finally, we see what we have been waiting
for, a floatplane taking off on water. This is a new experience for me
also.
Look at this awesome photo of our group on a 150 years old
sign in Victoria Harbour.
Today, we also stopped by the shops,
because it was our last chance to shop in the tourists shops. So, I had to make
some decisions about gifts for family and friends. I was so excited about buying for family and
friends, that I forgot to buy a gift for myself. Well maybe that’s not completely true,
because I did buy myself a delicious ice cream cone!
